Landmine/UXO SessionTHE SILENT KILLERS: The Issue of Global Landmines/UXO Speakers: Dr Kevin P. Kavanaugh, University of Tsukuba and HALO Trust -- Dr Kavanaugh has wide experience with UN operations in Bosnia, Tajikistan and Kosovo, and with the training of mine clearance workers in Cambodia. Mr Kiyoshi Amemiya, Yamanashi Hitachi Construction Machinery -- Mr Amemiya's company produces, among other things, mine-clearing machines for areas where they are needed most - Cambodia, Afghanistan and elsewhere. Ms Rie Gibson is taking part in an exchange program linking Japanese schools with schools in Rwanda on landmine and other issues. Program:
