What is "boinguage?" How is "boinguage" different from standard/correct English? How is "boinguage" different from Japlish? How is "boinguage" different from non-standard/ incorrect English? How can knowing "boinguage" help teachers know what to correct? During the workshop, teachers will learn "boinguage." By understanding "boinguage," both teachers and students will be able to develop better listening skills. Come and be one of the few who will be able to experience "boinguage," and see how helpful "boinguage" can be in the learning and teaching of the English language. About the speaker: John F. Fanselow is President of International Pacific College, New Zealand, and Professor Emeritus at Columbia University Teachers College. He is Past President of TESOL, New York State TESOL, and the author of Breaking Rules and Contrasting Conversations, Longman and Try the Opposite, SIMUL Press.
