The theme of this conference is, How can dictionaries help human & machine learning? The major topics include Computational Lexicography and Lexicology, Corpora and Lexicography, Bilingual Lexicography, and more. Today's plenaries are:
- Adam Kilgarriff: What Corpora Can and Cannot Do for Lexicography;
- Kosei Minamide: English Lexicography in Japan with Special Reference to the Unabridged Genius
Organization: Asian Association for Lexicography
Cost: Early registration April 10: 10,000 yen (students 5,000 yen ); otherwise 15,000 yen (students 8,000)
