Himeji JALT:

Vocabulary Building

Date: Sunday, July 8th, 2001 Time: 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Speaker: Sonia Yoshitake-Strain

Description:
Though teachers and students are different levels, we both struggle to expand our vocabulary. Would you like to join me in a workshop designed to discuss techniques/approaches in teaching and learning of vocabulary? The first half of the workshop will be hands-on presentation of a way to expand one's vocabulary through the knowledge of word formation. Several copy-and-use handouts will be available. The second half of the workshop is for participants to share the ways they succeed in teaching and learning new vocabulary. What strategies do you use? What is your most effective strategy?
