Description:
What is the objective of communicative English and how can it be effectively implemented? Come see how Dan Vandiver & Kumiko Yamamoto developed their student-centered approach in the junior high school English classroom combining the skills of Japanese Teachers of English (JTEs) and Assistant Language Teachers (ALTs). Experience and learn how JTEs and the ALTs can create communicative English lessons and how they should support one another in their goal of making English lessons as communicative as possible.

Additional critique of current public school methodology and what we can do about it will follow the workshop.
