ETJ-Aichi March 2008 workshops: (1) Let's enjoy picture books in the classroom; (2) A Tale of Two Kindergartens - A Journey of Intercultural Exchange

Description:
ETJ-Aichi is a group for teachers of children up through middle school in Aichi, Gifu, and Mie. For the March workshop, Kazumi Takagi, the multiple language story-telling program regularly held at the Gifu Prefectural Library, will share some ideas to help Japanese children enjoy picture books in foreign languages. In (2), Kim Horne and Aya Asano will detail their intercultural exchange project and how their Japanese students made it into the homes and hearts of their American counterparts. All teachers of English, members and non-members, are welcome to attend. Doors open at 9:30 a.m.
