Irish Studies in Asia (ISA) is an academic society dedicated to promoting Irish Studies in Asian contexts. Our primary focus lies in organizing a periodic conference that brings together scholars and enthusiasts to delve into various aspects of linguistics, literature and culture. Through this conference, we aim to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of Irish culture and heritage within the diverse Asian academic landscape.

Call for presentation proposals

We encourage papers from presenters of any nationality, in English or Japanese, that are broadly accessible and of general interest, offering insights that will resonate with attendees from diverse academic and cultural backgrounds. There is no requirement for either presenters or attendees to be ISA members. Please note that this conference will be an in-person event only, and no video conferencing options will be available for presentations. For those who would wish to apply to present, the deadline for submissions is January 31, 2025, 23:59 Japan Standard Time. The venue's capacity is limited to 80 people. Registration will close when capacity is reached. Early registration is encouraged.
