Wonder Kids - Drama Activities for Young Children

Speaker: Kristie Collins, DramaWorks Group
Description:
For Nagasaki JALT's first meeting of 2004, we welcome back Kristie Collins of DramaWorks Group and Josai International University, for perhaps her last appearance in Nagasaki before she returns to Canada! DramaWorks' Wonder Kids is an innovative new kids' program that makes both learning and teaching, easy and fun. Wonder Kids is designed for use in grades 4 through 6, and it introduces authentic language and characters in a fun-filled story, told in 20 scenes.
This workshop-style presentation will show participants how to block the scenes, and introduce language activities and warm-up games that reinforce language functions, vocabulary and natural intonation. No props, stage or acting experience necessary!
