Nara JALT:
Activities That Go Beyond Linguistics
Date: Saturday, June 19th, 2004 Time: 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Speaker: Rodney Dunham, Tezukayama University
Description:
The presenter will share various activities that engage students in ways beyond the ordinary linguistic/word approach to teaching. These activities are geared for junior high school and up, but can easily be adapted for younger students.
Reasons behind the use of such activities and why they work will be dealt with briefly. Then the session will turn to thinking of ways to turn the 'ordinary lesson' into something more exciting and engaging for students. A "My Share" exchange of lesson ideas will follow the presentation.
