Iwate-Aomori JALT:

What is Kamishibai?

Date: Sunday, January 23rd, 2005 Time: 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Speaker: Hitomi Igumi, Stellar Education

Description:
KAMISHIBAI (Japanese picture story show) is a great tool for storytelling which can help motivate your students while stretching their imagination. Your students will easily understand the story by using their own senses and knowledge. After learning kamishibai, teachers can lead the students to act the situations out, create a mini drama, or even have them present the kamishibai on their own.

Organization: Iwate-Aomori Chapter of the Japan Association for Language Teaching (Iwate-Aomori JALT)

Cost: free
