Teaching English to Children

Speaker: Yukiko Shima (Tokyo University of Science, Yamaguchi) and Katherine Mackay (Pearson Education- Longman)

Description:
During the first hour, Professor Shima will introduce The Look and Listen Method, a scientifically-organized phonics approach for teaching reading to young learners. Professor Shima manages a teacher training course for elementary school English teachers in Yamaguchi Prefecture.

During the second hour, Ms. Mackay will give practical ideas for teaching children.
