Learn the origins of the English language, the forces that shaped it, and examine several varieties, including those of England, Scotland, Ireland, America, Australia, South Africa, India, the Caribbean, and the Pacific. Learn the special characteristics and contributions of each variety. This is a multimedia presentation with examples of music of the varieties and movie clips demonstrating most varieties.
